Referred to as the Sunshine State, Florida gets a bit hot in the summers. Florida is one of the few destinations in the world where you can visit all year round. While May to September can get pretty hot and the temperatures rise above 95F/35C.

  1. Orlando Holiday
    There is no doubt that the first destination that you need to visit in Florida is Orlando. This is a dream destination for families with kids as there are tons of theme parks here including Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Volcano Bay. Disney World itself has 4 parks inside it- Magic Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and the Animal Kingdom.

    If you have spent a lot of time in theme parks and want some adult time, then you can indulge in outdoor sports such as kayaking, boating, hot-air balloon rides and more.

  2. St. Augustine Holiday
    St. Augustine is a city with a lot of old-world charm. Delve into history in this lovely city in Florida. Families will love visiting St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum where you can indulge in pirate-themed activities and dinners.
    Teenagers will love the St. Augustine ghost tour where they will be taken around the city to explore ghost spots. While other members of the family can explore Colonial Quarter and St. Augustine Lighthouse.
  3. Destin Holiday
    Destin is blessed with white sand beaches and emerald blue waters which can be the perfect vacation spot for holidays in Florida. This kid-friendly city offers a lot of fun in adventure parks. Visit Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park to enjoy the lazy river. After which you can head to Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park where you can spend some time with adorable penguins.

  4. Fort Lauderdale Holiday
    Another destination in Florida with palm trees, plenty of sun and sand in Fort Lauderdale. This city has miles of coastline which stretches from one end to the other giving you plenty to do. Simply laze around in the sun or go snorkelling, jet skiing, paddleboarding or scuba diving. Kids can go on a cruise, build sandcastles or even learn to drive a Segway.

  5. Space Coast Holiday
    From the sun to space - Space Coast in Florida has it all. Visit the Kennedy Space Centre with kids where they can have a look at Space Shuttle Atlantis and even see NASA updates.
    You can even indulge in various activities like surfing, hiking and paddleboarding. If you are into art and culture, then Space Coast has a great art scene with musical, dance and theatre productions.

  6. Key Largo Holiday
    Also referred to as the “diving capital of the world”, Key Largo is a great holiday destination for families in Florida. There is an underwater park here too called John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, which is immensely popular with families and kids.
    You can visit the National Marine Sanctuary where you can try snorkelling. Don’t forget to check out Everglades National Park.
