Queensland, Australia’s largest state, is expected to follow Sydney’s lead, announcing intentions to simplify entry criteria for fully vaccinated visitors by the end of the year.
All entry restrictions will be eliminated for all arrivals once 90 percent of the state’s eligible population has been properly vaccinated. By the end of the year, this goal should be achieved.
Australian nationals with two jabs who travel to the state on a direct international flight will not be required to self-isolate, but will still be required to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test. By the 17th of December, this goal should be fulfilled.
Citizens can visit Queensland if they quarantine for 14 days upon arrival once 70% of the population has been immunized, which is expected by 19th November.
On Friday, Sydney announced that vaccinated Australian citizens and residents’ parents will be permitted to visit without having to quarantine starting 1st November.
