Octant Hotels, a new hotel brand in Portugal, has debuted eight boutique “design-led” locations across the country.
Douro41 Hotel & Spa, Palacio da Lousa Boutique Hotel, Evora Farm Hotel, Santiago Hotel Cooking & Nature, Praia Verde Boutique Hotel, Vila Monte Farm House, Azor Hotel, and Furnas Boutique Hotel are among the existing properties that will be rebranded under the new Octant name.
Octant is a subsidiary of Discovery Hotel Management, which stated that the new brand would allow the locations to “provide a cohesive approach to service and experiences” while also promoting the “very best of Portuguese hospitality.”
Luis Mexia Alves, CEO of Discovery Hotel Management, stated: “The new Octant brand groups our design hotels into a premium segment in terms of look, feel and service. We do everything to meet the needs of the new generation of tourists emerging globally who seek out authentic, laid-back yet luxurious experiences.
“With Octant, we hope to connect our guests to the places where each of the hotels are located through warm hospitality, food and wine and unique experiences in an authentic way.
“We’re thrilled to have finally launched it, especially at such a pivotal time in the recovery of the Portuguese tourism market.”
The hotels of the brand will provide guests with access to facilities at all hours of the day and night, as well as breakfast throughout the day. A variety of experiences tailored to each resort will also be provided, with menus featuring local delicacies, specialties, and wines.
Discovery Hotel Management owns and manages 18 hotels, including the eight properties that presently comprise Octant Hotels.
