With immediate effect, Cambodia has abolished all Covid-19 testing requirements for vaccinated travelers.
The destination has also reintroduced its visa-on-arrival program, making it easier for vaccinated travelers to enter the country.
The announcement comes as Vietnam reopens its borders to vaccinated visitors.
A spokeswoman for Asia specialist Inside Asia, James Mundy, said: “This is an incredible move from Cambodia which has led the way in southeast Asia with regards to post-Covid travel.
“Cambodia is hugely reliant on tourism and has suffered heavily over the pandemic.
“It is obviously very keen to do what it can to bring visitors back and we hope that other countries in the region will begin to follow suit.”
The announcement implies that vaccinated visitors will no longer be required to present a pre-arrival PCR test or take any type of test during their stay in Cambodia, saving tourists money and potential confusion.
