This winter, Wizz Air will launch three-times-weekly flights from Liverpool to Albania.
From December 10, flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to Tirana, Albania’s capital, will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The new route would make Liverpool the sole UK airport outside of London to reach Tirana, and it will be Wizz’s third at the airport this year and 14th overall from LJLA.
LJLA’s director of aviation development, Paul Winfield, said: “Throughout the pandemic we have worked closely with Wizz Air who have continued to explore new opportunities for services all across Europe and we are therefore delighted that Liverpool continues to be an important part of their future plans with further expansion of their popular services from here.
“As we continue to recover from the pandemic, we are pleased to be able to create more opportunities for passengers from across the north west and north Wales to travel to a growing number of European destinations with the added convenience of flying direct from Liverpool.”
