Virgin Atlantic is extending member tier status for Flying Club members for another three months.
Because of the prolonged impact Covid-19 has had on its customers’ ability to travel, the airline is giving Gold and Silver members an extra three months to keep their tier status.’
Since the start of the pandemic, members of the Flying Club have received four extensions.
It means that members will have an additional eighteen months to keep their tier status.
Companion, Upgrade, and Clubhouse coupons will be extended for an additional 18 months in addition to tier extensions.
These updates have been applied to members’ accounts automatically.
On the Virgin Atlantic website or app, members will be able to download or print their digital membership card.
Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Siobhan Fitzpatrick, said: “As international travel gradually resumes, we understand our customers may need increased flexibility as they navigate the easing of restrictions and make plans to travel in 2021 and beyond.”
To give customers more flexibility and support their future travel plans, Virgin Atlantic has offered unlimited free date and flight adjustments for new bookings.
In addition to the “improved changes policy,” the rebooking horizon for all clients has been extended until April 30, 2023.
Members of Virgin’s Flying Club have lately been invited to join Virgin Red, the airline’s new incentive program.
Customers can link their Flying Club accounts to create a joint Virgin Points balance that can be used in both programs.
