Sri Lanka’s government has implemented an online arrival card system that enables foreign visitors to complete the form three days before they reach their destination.
The UK Foreign Office has updated its guidelines and suggests that all visitors apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) online to enter the country. On-arrival visa facilities are available, but obtaining an ETA beforehand is recommended to avoid any inconvenience or delays upon arrival.
Tourist visas are usually valid for 30 days, and passports must remain valid for at least six months from the arrival date. For more information on eligibility, visit the Department of Immigration and Emigration website.
