In 2025, a number of cruises leaving from Southampton will be offered on Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, Norwegian Prima.
Within a larger announcement of the 2024–25 program, the line confirmed the UK deployment.
The 3,099-passenger Prima will operate 10- and 11-day “open jaw” sailings between Southampton and Reykjavik.
A number of ports will be visited, including Alesund, Flm, and Bergen in Norway; Zeebrugge in Belgium; Akureyri and Isafjordur in Iceland; and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The voyages, which are now for sale, depart from May to September 2025. Prices for the 11-day Northern Europe: Iceland & Norway to Reykjavik cruise start at £1,829 with a 50% discount and depart on August 24.
All cruises and packages are 50% discounted during the line’s ongoing Greatest Deal Ever sale. If they pay £149 per person, travelers can take advantage of the 50% discount on packages.
The packages include with savings on shore excursions, drinks, specialty meals, and WiFi credit.
In order to operate 10 or 12-day Caribbean voyages between November 2024 and March 2025, Prima will relocate to New York.
Harry Sommer, the president, said: “When planning new itineraries, we listen to our guests and provide them with the ultimate cruise vacation.
“Our itineraries are designed to provide longer port hours and less sea days to truly allow our guests the opportunity to dive into the cultures and destinations they are visiting.”
The second ship of the line’s Prima class, Norwegian Viva, which has not yet been launched, will provide round-trip, seven-day trips to the Greek Isles from Piraeus (Athens) and open-jaw sailings from Haifa, Israel.
All of Greece’s islands—Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Iraklion—will be visited by the ship.
From December 2024 to April 2025, Viva will homeport at San Juan, Puerto Rico, serving southern Caribbean sailings.
Norwegian Breakaway will operate a series of nine- and ten-day roundtrip Mediterranean excursions from Barcelona between April and October 2025.
Calls to Ibiza, Spain; Cagliari, Italy; and Civitavecchia, Italy are included in the itinerary.
Between December 2024 and March 2025, Norwegian Escape will depart Galveston, Texas, on seven- and fourteen-day Caribbean voyages.
Between April and October 2025, Norwegian Joy will be based in Seattle and operate nine- and ten-day roundtrip Alaska voyages.
Starting on 13th October 2024, Norwegian Encore will embark on a 21-day Extraordinary Journey that includes transiting the 40-mile Panama Canal.
The journey starts in Seattle and stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Guatemala, Puerto Quetzal, Panama City, Cartagena, George Town, Grand Cayman, and Miami before coming to a finish.
