The opening of the Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Sevilla has been enthusiastically announced by Nobu Hospitality. The newest location of the company, located in Plaza de San Francisco in the center of Andalusia, is housed between two early 20th-century residential structures that have been painstakingly renovated to highlight their original architecture. The Nobu Hotel Sevilla, which has 25 elegant guest rooms and suites and faces the plateresque façade of the City Hall, also has a large rooftop terrace with a dining area and a swimming pool that offers breathtaking views of the Cathedral and Giralda. As the project’s focal point, the Nobu restaurant is ideally situated to take in the Julius Caesar-built Roman wall that was uncovered during the renovation.
The property is owned by Millenium Hospitality Real Estate SOCIMI (“MHRE”) and is managed by the Mercer Hotels network, which has more than 10 years of experience in the management of great luxury boutique hotels. Nobu Hotel Sevilla, the brand’s sixth hotel in Spain, is one of three projects between Nobu Hotels and MHRE that have been officially confirmed. Other projects, slated to open in San Sebastian in 2023 and Madrid in 2024, are also in the works.
Seville is a true feast for the senses, from its distinctive orange blossom to its magnificent architecture. Wander through its cobblestone streets during the day to interact with the region’s craftspeople and artisans, and as evening falls, enjoy tapas and finos outdoors while listening to traditional flamenco music. The Nobu Hotel Sevilla, which is situated in the city’s historic center, serves as a starting point for exploring its voluminous cultural attractions. The Real Alcázar (the Royal Palace) is just a short stroll from the hotel, which is located in the shadow of the cathedral’s eight-century-old bell tower, the Giralda. In the opposite direction, travelers will find the renowned Calle Sierpes, a bustling street lined with upscale boutiques just waiting to be explored. One of the most recognizable Game of Thrones filming locations is located in this city, which is a mashup of Mudejar, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture.
The hotel’s architecture honors Sevillian design while paying homage to Nobu’s Japanese roots. The hotel was built with existing building components in mind, including the central glass courtyard and the stairway that features genuine early 20th-century tiles. There are five different room styles to choose from, from Deluxe to the Nobu Suite. Each is opulent yet comfortable, with furnishings made of hand-carved wood to give a sense of warmth. In addition to the Nobu restaurant, which serves renowned dishes like Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi, guests can also dine at the Nobu Bar, which serves light fare and inventive cocktails, or on the rooftop. Other amenities include a 24-hour gym outfitted with the most recent Technogym equipment, a solarium on the terrace with a pool for cooling off, and the ability to use the hotel as a meeting and events space.
