The three-day hotel quarantine that is required of all vaccinated foreign arrivals in Hong Kong has been reduced from a week.
A revised travel advisory from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office acknowledged the modification (FCDO).
It read: “From 12 August travellers from all places other than mainland China and Macao will need to undergo three days quarantine at a designated quarantine hotel, followed by four days of medical surveillance at home or other self-arranged accommodation.
“Multiple PCR tests and daily rapid antigen tests are required until day 10 following arrival.
“Travellers will need to submit in advance an online health and quarantine information declaration confirming their hotel room reservation at a designated quarantine hotel and present a declaration QR code generated during check-in.”
A PCR and an antigen test for Covid must be taken, and those going to Hong Kong must wait for the findings at the airport.
Flights to the Asian hub “may be subject to scheduling change at short notice,” the FCDO said.
The FCDO also announced that direct flights between the UK and mainland China, which had been suspended throughout the pandemic, have again resumed.
