All domestic Covid-19 limitations have been eliminated in the Dominican Republic, while some inbound travel restrictions remain.
President Luis Abinader announced the news in a national address that was broadcast on all official social media outlets.
Individuals, according to Abinader, will henceforth be expected to take care of themselves and others without limitations.
He went on to say that the country and its people would now go on a road to “recover their independence” after a “long war.”
The elimination of any remaining mask restrictions, the relaxation of social distance rules, and the elimination of immunization pass requirements are all major improvements.
However, Abinader stated that the government will continue to monitor and observe the issue and that the country’s health system was prepared to handle any reappearance of Covid.
