This week, Delta Air Lines will resume service between New York JFK and Dublin.
From 5th August, the US carrier will operate three flights per week, increasing to five times per week in September.
Nadia Clinton, the regional sales manager for a US airline, said: “I am thrilled to announce that Delta Air Lines will resume flights from New York-JFK to Dublin on August 5.
“The announcement followed the much anticipated lifting of Ireland’s border restrictions enabling US leisure travellers to enter without quarantine.
“For customers who wish to reconnect with friends and family or enjoy a holiday, all services between the US and Ireland are operated in conjunction with partners Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic.”
Following Delta and Virgin Atlantic’s return to Heathrow Terminal 3 last month after a year of absence, the transatlantic connection with Ireland has reopened.
Heathrow is served by Delta from both Atlanta and JFK, while Virgin Atlantic offers flights to Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, and Israel.
