Because of increased infection rates, Croatia will require visitors from the United Kingdom to obtain a negative Covid-19 test result before arriving.
Due to the “worsening of epidemiological situations” in the three nations, the new, additional entrance rule now applies to people traveling from Cyprus and the Russian Federation.
It will take effect on Monday (26th July ).
According to a Croatian National Tourist official, “A negative SARS-CoV-2 test performed in the home country is required before entering the territory of the Republic of Croatia, regardless of vaccination status or recovery from COVID-19 disease.
“Travellers can opt for either an antigen test, not older than 48 hours, or a PCR test not older than 72 hours.”
The antigen test must be from the list of mutually recognized tests in the European Union.
Travelers from the United Kingdom must additionally fill out a form with their personal information and provide proof of a booked hotel reservation.
If a child under the age of 12 is traveling with a parent or guardian who has documentation of a negative test, they are exempt from having to test.
Croatia has been on the British government’s green list since Monday (19th July), allowing visitors to return to the UK without having to apply.
